Oracle’s definition of public sector extends beyond (but includes) traditional government agencies and ministries. The definition also includes state-owned entities, such as those in which a government has 30% or more ownership, voting control, and/or the ability to appoint officers or directors. For example, some airlines, financial institutions, telecommunications companies, utilities, energy exploration companies, hospitals, and other businesses may qualify.
Public sector attendees registering under the government rate will be required to show their employer-issued government ID or other proof of government employment as well as a government-issued photo ID during check-in at the Oracle Communications Summit registration desk.
Oracle may, at its sole discretion, charge the full Oracle Communications Industry Summit rate to anyone not satisfying these requirements or cancel ineligible registrations.
